Suburban Square is just a five minute drive from campus and offers a lot of great stores. The outdoor mall is a great place to go when you don not feel like dealing with mall crowds or if you just rather shop outside instead of being cooped up inside. It also offers ample parking.

It is located in Ardmore right in between Lancaster and Montgomery Avenues. It features a Strawbridge's department store and over 65 stores and restaurants. Some of the stores include Gap, J Crew, Lilly Pulitzer, Victoria's Secret, Banana Republic, City Sports and White House/Black Market.

The King of Prussia Mall is the largest mall on the East Coast. It is about a ten minute drive from campus and definitely worth the trip - especially since you don't have to even think about taking 76W. It is a beautiful mall. It has two separate buildings: the Court and the Plaza which are linked by a covered walkway.

The mall has eight department stores including Nordstrom's, Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus and Lord and Taylor. In addition to the department stores, the mall has over 400 stores and restaurants. Just about any store you can think of is in either the Court or the Plaza; in fact some stores such as the Gap and Victoria's Secret have a location in both. The mall also has great dining with everything from California Pizza Kitchen to Morton's Steakhouse.

King of Prussia is a great shopping experience and is so close. However, if you just want to go to the mall for just one or two things and do not want to spend a lot of time; it is recommended that you do this errand type shopping during the week because on the weekends it can get really crowded.

The main street in Manayunk has a lot to offer as far as shopping, restaurants and bars go. It is about a 15 minute drive from campus and a great way to spend a warm day.

Main Street has some great unique boutiques that offer clothes and other things that you will not find anywhere else. It also has chin stores such as Banana Republic for Women and Chico's.

Definitely work in a lunch into your day of shopping. On warm days, almost all of the restaurants and bistros on Main Street open up the side walk to accommodate outdoor seating.

There is parallel parking along the streets as well as lots that you can pay to park in. You can get to Main Street in Manayunk via either I-476 to I-76 or by Montgomery Avenue.
