Brownies 23East is a favorite of both Villanova and St. Joe's kids, this popular hotspot known for awesome specials and live bands is located on Lancaster Avenue about halfway in between the two schools. The most popular nights to go to Brownie's are Wednesday and Friday nights. On Wednesdays they have the "sink or swim" special where you literally need to pick up a pile of coins and you are ready to go.

From 9 until midnight there are free pizza and wings and $1 bottled beers. From 10 until midnight, there are 50 cent draft beers, $2 red bull and vodkas, and $1 drinks. On Fridays, there is a $5 happy hour buffet, 75 cent Coors Light bottles, 50 cent drafts, and $1 drinks from 6:30 until 8:30. There are $2 Miller Lite bottles until midnight. It is a really fun scene especially on Wednesdays and Fridays when there is a live band and the place is packed. Don't try and go with a Fake ID though; this place is super hard to get into if you are underage.

This laid back college bar is located in Bryn Mawr at 900 Conestoga Road. The Wild Onion is a great place to grab a bite to eat and a few drinks with friends. It has great food, specials, and a really chill atmosphere. The most popular nights to go are Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.

On Thursday nights they have ? priced quesadillas from 3-7 and $2 Miller Lite bottles from 10 until midnight. They also have a DJ all night long. On Saturdays, they also have a DJ all night. The special is $5.95 wings and beer all day and night. Also, there are $2 drinks and drafts from 10 until midnight. On Sundays it is a great place to go after watching football all day. They have $2.50 drinks of whatever you want including premium liquors.

Located in Bryn Mawr at 863 W. Lancaster Avenue, this popular bar has Villanova students and kids from other area schools hanging out on any given night of the week. A chic bar and restaurant, this place has great food, a fully stocked bar, and is in a really convenient location to Villanova off campus housing and is a short drive from campus.

Since Center City Philly is a 20+ minute drive from campus, many students flock to the city on the weekends. There are so many places downtown and such a diverse atmosphere that there is something for everyone. Part of the appeal of the city is that there are places that you can go to in jeans and a comfortable hoodie and $20 in your pocket. And at the same time, there are places you can go dressed to kill with you parent's American Express in your designer clutch. Everyone can find a good time downtown. It is also really easy to catch the R5 (Paoli/Thorndale to Central Philadelphia) right from villanova or st. joes campus to Market East, Suburban Station or 30th Street.
