Villanova University offers an array of student organizations which totals about 400 clubs and organizations most of which are active. These range from Cheerleading to College Democrats to a Ski and Snowboard club. It is a great way to meet people with similar interests to you. The great thing is that even if a club does not exist you can make it happen. Information about student clubs and organizations can be found on the Villanova site.

habitat for humanity

Night Owls

Up 'til Dawn is led and run by students in order to benefit patients at St. Jude's Hospital. The event is held at over 150 colleges and universities. At Villanova, you can help or assist with the planning or just volunteer. There are fundraising events held throughout the year that cumulate in an all night long celebration that has plenty of fun and entertainment.

It is a really great opportunity to meet others and to give back to those in need. It is a student favorite and they rave about it.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity, which is run by Campus Ministry, is for a great cause and is a fantastic way to meet people. The purpose is to build housing for low income families. There are fundraisers to support the program and Saturday Habitat for Humanity building projects. These projects are in association with the greater Philadelphia chapter of the nationwide organization.

Republicans and Democrats

Student Politics

Villanova has organizations for both parties. College Democrats and College Republicans are both student run organizations on campus. They are both very involved especially during election years. They help out with local elections and also have guest speakers as well as holding frequent meetings.

Future Politicians

The Student Government Association of Villanova is a great opportunity to get involved. They make a lot of things happen for the students of Villanova. Most recently they made available a free mp3 download programs for all students to use. They have a variety of committees that oversee and plan different aspects of student life.

Villanova also has several "culture clubs" which focus on the culture of a certain people and country. There are about over 30 of these kinds of organizations on this campus. There is just about a club for almost every culture that is present on campus and if they don't have one that you want, you can start it! They hold all sort of events from guest speakers to culture nights which include cultural food and entertainment. The culture nights are always a favorite with students.

Villanova has a lot to offer as far as a social life goes. You will get the most out of your college experience, the more involved you are. There is something for everyone.

Villanova has hosted the Pennsylvania Special Olympics for the past seventeen years. This is a really great event for students to get involved. This is the second largest Special Olympics event in the United States. A lot of students participate by volunteering in the planning and coordinating the day's events.
