Student-Subway ^alpha

Villanova is in a suburban setting so there is a lot of close convenient places to it. It is located on Lancaster Avenue which includes towns and neighborhoods and is lined with stores, restaurants, and schools among other things.

Late Night

Lancaster Avenue has a convenience store that is opened 24 hours called Wawa. They even have fresh made sandwiches and subs or as they call them in Philly: hoagies. There are also several bars on this street. For late-night beer it is best to go to a smaller bar and buy six packs.

Grocery Shopping Time

There are several grocery stores near Villanova including Acme, Genaurdi's, SuperFresh, WholeFoods, and Trader Joe's. All are located on Lancaster Avenue.

Weekend Brunch

Students sweat by Minella's Mainline Diner. On any given Saturday or Sunday it is packed with students eating brunch. There usually is a wait on weekends.

Hospitals

Lankenau Hospital is on Lancaster about 10 minutes away from the University.

Going to the Movies or Renting?

The closest movie theater is right next to the King of Prussia Mall. It has stadium seating and really expensive tickets and food. There is a Blockbuster on Lancaster, but you can also rent DVDs in the Connelly Center.

Dry Cleaning

Nova Cleaners is only a few hundred feet from campus. It is located at 817 E. Lancaster Ave.

Banks

There are 3 Wachovia ATMs on campus as well as a full functioning bank. Other area banks include Commerce, PNC, and M&T. It is probably easiest to get a Wachovia checking account so you are not charged extra money when getting cash out of the ATM on campus.

Bookworms

A Barnes & Noble book store is located at 720 Lancaster Ave Bryn Mawr, PA 19010

Gym Rats

While Villanova has facilities for non-athlete bottoms, but if you want better facilities you can join a local gym. Philadelphia Sports Club is located at 34 West Lancaster Avenue Ardmore, PA 19003 An L.A. Fitness Club is located at 403 W Chester Pike Havertown, PA 19083.

Drug Stores

There is a CVS Pharmacy located at 1218 E. Lancaster Ave. Rosemont, PA 19010. A Rite-Aid Pharmacy is located at 127 West Lancaster Pike Wayne , PA 19087

Postal Service

There is a post office right down the street from Villanova. It is located at 775 E. Lancaster Ave.
