Campus food is notorious for being unappetizing. Villanova breaks this rule. They were a 2004 recipient of the prestigious Restaurants and Institutions Ivy Award. Most students have nothing but good things to say about campus dining.

Location, Location

There are three main resident dining halls at Villanova: Dougherty, Donahue, and Saint Mary's. There are also six "a la carte" places to eat on campus. The main difference between the two is that the resident hall dining facilities change their menu while the "a la carte" dining options tend to stick to the same menu.

The Dougherty dining hall is located in the basement of Dougherty Hall. It is served in a buffet style and also features a salad bar. There are standard meal items that are served everyday as well as a changing menu. Vegetarian friendly meals are also available at lunch and dinner as well as low fat options.

The hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30am-7:15pm, Saturdays 7:30am through 4pm, and Sundays 7:30am-7:30pm.

Donahue Court is the place to eat on South campus. Its Ivy award winning dining includes a deli, grill, pizza, salad bar, dessert bar, and made-to-order Chinese. There is also a convenience store that stays open late. Students often stay after hours to study and meet with other students.

The hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am to 10am and 11:30 to 8am. On Saturdays and Sundays it is open from 10:30am to 7:30pm.

Saint Mary's Hall is the third main dining hall. It features a changing menu as well as a consistent menu. The hall also offers meatless meals for students who wish to abstain from meat as well as low fat foods for health conscience diners. The hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM and 4:15 PM - 7:15 PM. Weekend hours are Saturdays and Sundays 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

Students have a few favorite places to go when they want a quick fix.

The Exchange is located in Bartley Hall and features gourmet sandwiches. It's hours are Monday through Thursday from 8am to 8:15pm, Fridays from 8am to 2:30pm, and Saturdays from 8am to 2pm.

Belle Air Terrace is located in the Connelly Center and is a great place to grab a bite to eat. It has foods that range from chicken fingers to a salad bar to sushi. There are also healthy options. The hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 10:00 pm, Saturday 11:00 am - 9:00 pm, and Sunday 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm.

The Corner Grille is located in the Dougherty Center and has burgers, fries, chicken, and milkshakes among other items. Its hours are Monday through Thursday 10:45 am - 6:15 pm and Friday 10:45 am - 2:00 pm.

C Stores

Donahue Market is a convenience store that is open from 1pm to 1am everyday of the week. It is located right near Donahue Court.

2nd Story is located in Saint Mary's Hall. You can get ready to order food as well as purchase foods for later. It features a full service deli with Boar's Head products. You can make a sandwich or buy a pound of turkey.

Caffeine Fix

There are four Holy Grounds coffee shops located throughout campus.
