The College of Commerce and Finance is housed in Bartley Hall at the East side of campus. The building has awesome features. Bartley houses a caf? which has won an Ivy dinning award. Free copies of The Wall Street Journal are available at the entrance of Bartley. There are flat screen televisions placed strategically around the Hall continuously playing CNBC.

The Applied Finance Lab is has great features such as flat screen televisions, a Wall Street Ticker, and three-screen computers at each desk. They even had to ban cell phones from this room because students were using them to buy and sell stocks during class. The building also has a commercial grade printing center that rivals a Kinko's.

The average class room sit about 40-50 students, but the class will never have that many students. It also houses faculty offices and a Commerce and Finance library. Bartley recently underwent a $25 million renovation to add faculty offices and update the classrooms to exceed expectations.

The Center for Engineering Education and Research building (CEER) is where the majority of Engineering classes are held. This $20 million building was built in 1998. It houses engineering laboratories, team workspaces, student project rooms, and new technology for students. A part of the building is unfinished and the school says that the purpose of this is to allow engineering students to see firsthand how a building works. There are many student activites to join in at this building including a solar powered car, a robotics club, a number of national honors societies, and the concrete canoe competition.

The College of Nursing is located at Saint Mary's Hall on West Campus. The College offers an excellent faculty as well as top notch technological resources. It is taught with a hands-on approach. The building houses classrooms, laboratories, and rooms that are modeled after real life hospitals and medical facilities.

Falvey Memorial Library

College Studying

Falvey Memorial Library is the main library on campus. The three story building house is a hub of activity on campus. The first floor was renovated last year and the second and third floors are planned to be renovated in the next two years. The library has a writing center where papers can be reviewed and edited before submitting them to professors. There is a caf? and a 24 hour study lounge. Students are allotted $60 worth of free printing every semester.

The library's online resources are very useful. Via the web you can access databases, e-journals, library catalogs, references, and more. The library is a great asset when a student is assigned to write a research paper. Falvey Memorial Library offers assistance and guidance, step-by step how to advice, and great tips on how to get started with your research. The library has great resources for all disciplines of academics; no matter what your major is, you will find the library to be a great resource.

Villanova has a mix of old and new buildings on its campus. The old buildings are handsome structures that resonate the origins the University was founded upon. The newer buildings reflect the advantages that technology has made available and the future of Villanova. All academic buildings are laptop wireless capable.
