Last week, I went to Fitz's Rootbeer - Restaurant and had a great time. Fitz's is located in the heart of the Delmar Loop, and has been a St Louis hot spot for many years. Fitz's produces and bottles a number of sodas and beers and is known for their amazing rootbeer floats. Fitzs has an extensive menu, but in my opinion, is better for the parched. The food is edible, but nothing to write home about. The location and atmosphere are great and makes Fitz's a perfect stopping point on an evening out. Fitzs offers a large patio dining area, and two indoor floors to help minimize waiting. In addition to the restaurant, you can also buy soda to go. The decor of Fitzs provides a family environment with plenty to catch the eye, and a riveting story of the history of Fitz's Rootbeer in St. Louis

Humphrey's Bar and Restaurant, which has been open since 1976, located on Saint Louis University's campus at 3700 Laclede Street, has been responsible for 32 years of making great memories for SLU students and alumni. Humphrey's has great food, "penny pitchers" which start at 9pm, and an awesome crowd of St. Louis' most interesting students. Whether you want to get all dressed up or if you want to just wear a frat/soror shirt or even a crazy costume, you'll never be out of place at Humphrey's. From it's famous plunger shot that you get on your birthday to its infamous backyard patio(which has a band on somenights), you can guarantee to have a good time at this bar. And the best thing about it, you can always stumble back to your apartment/dorm and never have to worry about driving home after all those Jager Bombs that we all enjoy so much. You can't beat it, and the more you go the more it starts to feel like home. So....go try it out! And tell them TJ Whitaker sent you, and you'll know I had a good time there too!

Saint Louis is truly an amazing city. it is big enough that there are a million things to do and places to eat, yet it still manages to maintain the friendliness of a small town.
There are so many awesome restaurants in Saint Louis. of course they have the normal chains, including some nicer ones like the Cheesecake Factory, P.f. Changs, Houlihan's, bar Louie, etc ... but my favorites are the ones that are unique to Saint Louis.
One of my personal favorites is Liluma's in the central west end. it is Italian cuisine - the pastas and seafood is amazing! Their sauces are to die for! They also have an extensive wine list with great waiters who are more than willing to make any suggestions if you aren't sure what would best complement your meal.
Another favorite would have to be Barcelona in Clayton. The atmosphere makes the restaurant ... very sexy lighting but also a lot of fun! it's perfect for a fancy date or for just going out with friends. they have a great bar. it's Spanish cuisine and the portions are all smaller, so you usually order several things and share. and the dessert ... superb! You definitely have to check this place out if and when in Saint Louis!
Another one in Clayton is the Creperie. Anything you can imagine in a crepe - breakfast crepes, lunch crepes, and dessert crepes. it's always packed cause it's only open for breakfast and lunch, but it's worth it even if you have to wait a while to get a table!
Finally, Morton's steakhouse ... also in Clayton :) i went there with my husband for our honeymoon. everything we have tried is absolutely perfect - every bit of steak melts in your mouth. it's quite pricey but perfect for special occasions! everything is served a la carte and is served to perfection.
Bon appetit!!

If I've had a really bad day (or even a really good day) I always go to The Cupcakery. The cupcakes are HUGE, made from scratch and there are tons of unique flavors to choose from. Besides the daily flavors, there are five, they have weekly featured flavors, including my personal favorite Island Dream. It's yummy yellow cake topped with coconut buttercream and shaved coconut. They also have amazing sugar cookies, cookie sandwiches, muffins and drinks and stuff. Its a really cute place to go if you are out shopping or ya know had a bad day! The Cupcakery is located at 28 South Maryland Plaza across the street from Bar Louie, but it's in the back of the building. Just follow the signs!

The U-city loop in St Louis, MO is a freakin blast. The eccentric meet the trendy people in this street of shops, restaurants, and bars. The Tivoli theater, Pin-up bowl, and The Pageant each offer a unique, enjoyable evening st louie style. Good restaurants include Ciceros, Blueberry hill, and Fitz's. The bar scenes vary from lounges, hooka bars, and general assemblies of drunken young people (The Delmar), but theres always going to be people at each and usually with live bands or dancers. Whatever you want to do with your evening, the u-city loop has what you need

- Fitz’s American Grill & Bottling Works may be the only restaurant in America where you can watch a vintage root beer bottling line in operation while you enjoy your meal. The equipment dates back to the early 1940’s, and is easily viewed from the main dining room. Fitz's does not necessarily bottle every day. If you want to see the bottling line operating, please call our hostess at 314 726-9555 to confirm the operating schedule on your intended day of visit.
