Manayunk Brewery and Restaurant is often called Brew Pub. Formerly a mill, the establishment become a brewery and restaurant in 1996. Now outfitted with a patio over looking the river, a sushi bar and stone pizza oven, the restaurant offers a wide range of fabulous food.

The Brew Pub makes eight different types of beer. The four consistent beers are: Bohemian Blonde, Krooks Mill, Manayunk Lager and Schuylkill Punch. There are also four seasonal brews: California Dreamin, Philadelphia Porter, Nokdechiloff and Hop Harvest. The hardest part is often determining which to try. When this is the case they offer a sampler where you get to try a few.

On the weekends there is typically a band playing. The best part about Brew Pub is when the weather becomes a little nicer. The back patio and porch are opened up so not only do you get to enjoy a fabulously fresh beer but also the views and the weather.

Bourbon Blue Restaurant is located right off Main Street on the canal side of Rector Street. Bourbon has brought New Orleans to Manayunk. Always guaranteed a wonderful time, patrons are especially fond of the weekend cover bands. The live band typically adds a cover fee of at least $5.

Located upstairs is the main dining room as well as a cocktail area with a bar. This is typically an older crowd set. There is typically a small band performing upstairs.

Downstairs is where the party truly starts. The tables and chairs are cleared out of the way to provide a large dance floor area. The music is always great.

Bourbon Blue also transforms into a sports bar for the big games. There are 8 TVs as well as a large projection screen.

The food brings a little Cajun kick; just what Manayunk needs! The ambiance of Bourbon Blue is wonderful.

Pitchers Pub, located in the center of Main Street has become to local watering hole. The bar itself is pretty small, but carries a surprising 20 tap selection.

Pitchers has recently undergone a renovation, but still has the character of an older bar. The walls are covered with beer signs and sports paraphernalia which goes along perfectly with the plasma TVs above the bar.

Typically extremely crowded on the weekends, Pitchers is able to draw in a large crowd due to their inexpensive drinks ($4 mixed drinks) and large beer selection.

Pitchers is definitely laid back. This not only includes the atmosphere but also the dress. You don?t feel out of place in your favorite t-shirt and jeans.
