Homecoming is in February at Drexel. The Crystal Ball, a semi-formal affair, is the final event of Homecoming week. At the Crystal Ball, the Homecoming king and queen will be announced.

The voting for king and queen is done a little differently than what most people are used to. Each candidate represents a school organization, but more importantly they each pick a charity. The voting for each candidate is done through money ballots. Voting is carried out for the week leading up to the events, where students can donate cash or change to the charities. The candidate who has received the most money for their cause is crowned the king and queen of Homecoming.

The CAB works hard every year to put on a wonderful event, which students always enjoy. Past Crystal Balls have consisted of a Las Vegas theme as well as a "Celebrate the City" boat tour around the city. The $40 per couple tickets includes transportation, dinner as well as the event itself.

Everyone school has a big yearly event, but Drexel's Spring Jam might be one of the best. For the last few years the Campus Activities Board has created a great set up of festivities for the students to enjoy in early May.

Spring Jam is a week long celebration leading up to the final event: The Spring Jam Festival. The week is packed full of fun for the students. There are free food, music and activities during the week.

Drexel has so much to offer, but you really do need to take advantage of what other close by schools have to offer. Since UPenn is so close, a large number of Drexel students attend their legendary Spring Fling. Spring Fling is a weekend long event. On Friday there is a carnival followed by a large concert Friday night. On Saturday night there is another carnival.

Typically there are 3-4 different groups performing. There are also at least 20 student bands that perform. In the past performers have include: Reel Big Fish, Run DMC, Wyclef and the Mighty Might Boss Stones.

Following the concert events there are a large number of parties happening in a large number of houses of Penn students.
