Noche Lounge, conveniently located in Center City, is a great place to meet friends for a few drinks or a full dinner. NoChe has these amazing ceiling-high windows that are perfect for people-watching on Chestnut Street. If you need room to spread out, there are huge booths that are lined with a cowhide cover!! Some of my favorite things about Noche are the jukebox, the pooltable, and the friendly atmosphere.

Their dinner menu has pizzas, empandas, and sandwiches, along with these amazing nachos that are so big you can never finish the whole plate!! They have amazing happy hour specials on draft beers, pitchers, and Finlandia Drinks, plus $4 Nachos!! Every Thursday night is acoustic night with Love Junk from 9-midnight! I suggest ordering a pitcher of Margaritas for $10 as well...

For happy hour or a late night excursion, Noche is definitely the place to be. The bartenders are friendly, the crowd is lively, and the drinks and food are reasonably priced. Definitely a great find!!

Drinkers Pub in Center City Philadelphia

Drinker's Pub offers a little bit of everything for everyone. With its prime Chestnut Street, center city location, it becomes the ideal happy hour spot for those grinding the 9-5 hours. After making your way passed the fairly large and incognito doorman you will quickly notice the Elvis Presley décor and rock music, which thumps off of the wood and tin surroundings. Of course, if you get denied at the door you can always try and sneak in through the enormous front window, which is always open in the summer. This window not only offers amazing seating with views of the Philadelphia natives, but allows the patrons to take in the fresh scent that the city presents.

Once inside, your wallet will quickly feel at ease as Drinkers Pub is a hub for great drink specials. Perhaps your stomach has become a bit hungry, as you and your buddies have sucked down $5 pitchers all afternoon. Now would be the time to speak with one of your trendy and very attractive waitresses, and order up some $1 tacos or .25 wings, both are top notch and arguably some of the best in town.

Space is ample, whether you choose to post-up on the bar or in one of the booths. Getting bored of your friends or flying solo? Don’t worry. Drinkers offers alternatives to your boring friends with their large plasma televisions. And if you are a terrible golfer like me, you can boost your game by playing some Golden Tee, as well as various other classic arcade games.

For solid service, amazing drink specials, and tasty eats, Drinkers Pub on 19th and Chestnut is the spot to be.

Cavanaugh's "campusdeck" located on 39th and Sansom, is the Cheers equivalent of Drexel University. On any given night you can always count on Cav's to be a good time whether you're looking to grab some drinks or get dinner (great wings and crab dip!). Drinks are decently priced and you will quickly make friends with the entire Cav's staff (especially Brian Kravitz - the big guy at the door)

Wednesday nights aka College Night (best night of the week) is the biggest night at Cav's. For a $5 cover on College Nights you get 50 cent drinks (draft beer or well liquor) and free pizza (best pizza ever) from 10pm - 12am. Not only is it cheap drinks and free food, but it also serves as a meeting place for everyone you've ever met at Drexel. And don't think the party ends when the special ends. By midnight you'll find the biggest/best dance party hosted by the one and only DJ Tree.

Now let's not forget my favorite holiday:ERIN EXPRESS. This all day drinking event was originated at Cavanaugh's over 30 years ago. Erin Express takes place the 2 Saturdays before St. Patrick's Day. This day includes being up at 8am for a solid pregame, then its off to Cav's by 9am. Everyone will be decked out in kelly green while drinking beers right out of the pitcher and throwing down irish car bombs.

If you are in the Philadelphia area or coming to Drexel University/Penn you absolutely have to experience a Cav's night for yourself.

Ahhh the collar,

This is a great sit-down, have a few good beer and some great food kinda place. It is a smaller bar on 24rd and Fairmount. But they have outside seating during the summer which is awesome. They have a great selection of brew, as well as the best quesadillas in the world. Seriously if heaven were a ‘dilla it would be this ‘dilla. Anywho good evening drinking place, cool crowd--mostly art museum area folk and nice place to get a bite to eat.
