In the fall and the spring Washington Square Park used to double as a college campus.

Unfortunately for the next two to four years, the fountain in the center of the park is closed down for reconstruction, making what little campus we have obsolete. That being said, people will probably congregate in even closer quarters in the area that remains open during construction.

Do not go to NYU if you have been envisioning long stretches of grass where you and your friends can play football and frisbee all day long. Come to NYU if the city captivates you and if you think you can survive meeting your friends in coffee shops instead of park benches.

Additionally, the library could be one of the most NYU student filled social places on campus. So take advantage of it. After 4 years you will know who prefers what floor, and if you're an 8th floor quiet room type person or an LL2 socialite.
