Just because you are not involved in Greek life does not mean you will not have a social life. Although frats are pretty much the only source for big parties at Temple, other clubs and organizations know how to have a good time too. Getting involved in clubs in college is always a good idea, and partying with your new group of friends is an added perk. Organizations such as Student Government set up events, concerts, and get-togethers, and a couple times a year they may rent out a hall to throw a big party in. The bottom line is, get involved in any way you can, whether it is a club, a team sport, or a fraternity or sorority. The availability of parties is always there, but being involved in the organization throwing the party will help you make friends with or without going to a party.
