Every Friday (and sometimes on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays) the University Forest Apartments come alive. Partying is usually split pretty evenly between UFA and the Greek Lodges at the other end of campus. However, the apartments offer a more personal atmosphere as well as hard liquor. The Fraternity Lodges only serve beer (usually Beast or Natty Light), so if you want Jungle Juice, jell-o shooters or vodka shots, you'll have to visit the apartments.

Many of these four-person apartments are occupied by fraternity, sorority, or club sport members who throw sponsored parties. This way, the members of the organization can split the cost of alcohol and party supplies. However, not all of the parties are sponsored, many apartment residents throw private parties for around a dozen guests apiece.

The most popular game at apartment parties by far is beer pong (or beirut). There are several variations of the rules, but many apartments have their set of rules posted near the pong table. As for the pong table itself, it is normally made out of plywood or, in a pinch, the bedboard found under the university-issued beds will suffice. There are usually long lines for beer pong at sponsored parties, so come prepared to wait.

Other popular games include kings, f**k you pyramid, f**k the dealer (card games) flip cup and "never have I ever".

During the school year, and especially during the beginning of first semester, students are often able to find public parties simply by wandering around the apartment blocks. However, they must keep an eye out for the campus police, who's headquarters are located directly adjacent to the area. Many students make the mistake of going out to the apartments on Friday night, and then attempting to stumble drunkenly back past the police station. This problem usually dies down after the first few weeks though.
